Yantrikta's Weekly Autumn Session with New Talent

The autumn leaves may be falling, but the enthusiasm at Project Yantrikta continues to rise with our second batch of talented youth. In this latest session, our young engineers-to-be embarked on an exciting journey into the intricate world of robotics. Although there were a few bumps along the way, our students proved their determination and adaptability.

Building a Robot: Triumphs and Gearhead Struggles

Rolling up their sleeves, the students got to work on building their robots. The process, as expected, came with its own set of challenges. Gears, fascinating and intricate components, presented some head-scratching moments. The young minds behind these robots, however, proved they were up to the task.

Gears are the cogs in the machine, and they play a pivotal role in the functionality of a robot. During this session, our mentors and students explored gear ratios, which is a fundamental concept in robotics and engineering. They learned that gear ratios determine how much a robot can lift, how fast it can move, and how much power it can deliver.

Timed Tasks: A Test of Skill and Ingenuity

To apply their newfound knowledge, our students were given a series of timed tasks. This is where the rubber met the road, or more accurately, where the gears met the gears. It was their chance to put theory into practice and demonstrate their problem-solving skills.

Despite the initial setback with laptop access for coding, our mentors turned this obstacle into an opportunity to dive deeper into gear ratios and the mechanical aspects of robotics. It was an invaluable lesson in adaptability and making the most of the resources at hand.

As the session came to a close, our students left with a wealth of knowledge, a newfound appreciation for gears and gear ratios, and a sense of accomplishment.

Stay tuned as we continue to nurture the next generation of problem solvers, one gear at a time!
